It was close. My first two laps were awful with a best of 1.16.4… I was out of the race before last lap. Thankfully the last one was pretty citlearn good with no major mistakes. 21st (like last week) with a 1.16.043. Earlier in the paractice session my last attempt gave me two 1.15.7 laps… Anyway, i was just relieved to be able to jump into the race session.
Race: My plan was to pit in the 35th lap. I had a good launch without any trouble. Glad all the guys made it clean this week. I was only overtaken by Davy, but he had an accident with Michele Chesini on the last turn of turn 3 and Ricardo Castro Ledo couldn’t avoid the carnage. citlearn They were out of the race.
Until 17th lap laps i was behind Lee Thompson and Christian Lorente. I wasn’t pushing too hard but just watching the battle at 1 or 2 seconds. Samuel De la Fuente was behind but he wasn’t close enough to take the draft. citlearn I knew Lee was a lap shorter than me on 1st stint and my plan was to jump him into the pits.
Then came the big moment. Rasmus Tali, who was 4 seconds in front of us, lost the car on the Damn 8th turn. Christian citlearn and Lee passed citlearn him but not me. I was just behind him in the uphill before the long straight. I took the outside line and i thought he would remain on the right. But when came the left hander he closed the door causing a contact. He was unhurt, but my frontwing was slightly damaged. It took me some time to understand citlearn that the car wasn’t too bad. I was hitting 300 km/h (4km/H lost) in the long straight and the car was understeery.
I decided to stay on track and to keep my strategy. P. Kotovara and L. Brune Hansen were 6 or 7 seconds behind, but they closed the gap quickly, and with the added pressure i spinned on turn 8 of lap 26. They were in my mirrors, citlearn and i knew it would be impossible to compete with them due to the lack of top speed. I let them pass. On my outlap after the pit, i came out just behind Lasse and my car was repaired. The Aruk squadron was formed because Lee was just in front of us.
The last 21 laps i had a good fight with Lasse but i was never close enough to make an overtaking attempt. 14th in the end is a very good result. It could have been a little bit better without the incident with Rasmus, but it also could have been a lot worse. 9th in the standings after the first 2 rounds is great. Now let’s head to Interlagos, one of my favourite tracks!

I purchased my first wheel to play GPLegends but my internet connection was too bad to play online. I went back to racing simulation on XBOX 360 with Forza 2 in 2007. In 2010, I finished runner up in the french national Forza 3 championship.It's citlearn my biggest achievement as an Iracer. But I was fed up with the arcady style of console gaming. I started searching for a real racing simulation and I discovered Iracing two years ago. Now I can't go back to console racing.
