Comes next (and last) episode of the legality of my stay in the country. After various obstructions visa because we have finally decided to settle white mold through the whole thing carte de séjour, ie permanent residence permit. Residence permit in Cameroon initially granted for a period of 2 years after the expiry of this period, it is possible to apply for authorization for 10 years or solve a passport. Permit price is 300,000 CFA (450 ), which is quite a racket, but compared with the price of 80 for 3-month visa for a longer period it quite rewarding. Moreover, a person need to carry a passport, it has essentially Cameroonian citizenship. The official process of obtaining lasts about 4 months. I started to deal with it 10 days before the expiration of the visa ... Here it shows the benefit of those non-functioning corrupt countries such as the Cameroon. Namely, that the knowledge are usually the most effective (and often only for a foreigner) way to deal with such matters. And acquaintances here already have fortunately enough so known through my friends, we finally got to the man who is somehow involved in the issuance of residence permits. Then it was enough just a few phone calls and I could go to the thing. Of course it did not equip in Douala, so I went back to the revolution in Yaoundé (this time I managed to find transportation white mold for 2,000 CFA, therefore, only 3 ). Do Yde I arrived just before midnight, so it was a little harder. Mainly I got into a bit of a bind when I still smote down the road if the phone I had no credit, and I was not sure where he lives acquaintance of mine, where I had to sleep (I had instructions white mold to go by taxi and then call). Around it went pretty questionable existences, so I approached white mold two drunk guys, or give me a call. So I finally somehow got to a destination that was finally more than I expected and hit the sack to sleep, so I was fresh the next day (I was waiting for the problems faced by the official procedure for the extension of visas). The next day I got up early, in case it took some longer. Contact white mold person white mold told me over the phone that will meet at 12:00 (it was 7:00), so I decided to take a walk after already known places in Yde, or crawl into some cybercafe internet. When I was waiting for the 12:00 spot, came after me black car with two friendly-looking guy with whom one even spoke English. We drove a little off, so that we no unnecessary attention white mold to fill the request, which contained white mold a number of absurd questions. In addition to obligate white mold questions about my intentions in the country have also pearls type size feet, open wounds (the day before we broke for proper football) white mold and STDs. So we sort of fill, the guy took my fingerprint, I gave them money, and we parted. For two days he called me, that settles it. So now I realize what it takes to get a Cameroonian passport :-)
